Chapter 4      ( The 'Cover Up' )

" Arrgh ! Oh dear ! " Moonpig said to himself as he looked in Slugger's tank a few days later , " Slugger isn't moving " ( prod ! prod ! No response ) He must be....... ...D E A D !....Ima is Bound to blame ME , ( don't know why ) I'll see if I can find a replacement quick before anyone comes . " So off he went to his garden , tossing poor Slugger onto the compost heap on his way to the fields..

.....After hours of searching     ( actually two minutes ) Moonpig raises his trotters in the air..." Ta-dah ! " he says , 

Tah-Dah !

" Well it looks the same 'cept it has a...er..shell on it's back ...  Moonpig rushed back & placed the snail in Imapig2's tank , replacing the key  back in Ima's Poetry Book just in time as Imapig2 walked in.

" What are you doing here , by Slugger's tank ? " Imapig2 quizzies Moonpig 

 " Nothing ,nothing at all,just brought him one of my Best radishes " Moonpig says , producing a Big Fat radish from out of his pocket .

" Sorry " Imapig2 answered back , " I thought you were... going to...er never mind , I'll open his tank & you can put it in for him . Moonpig tossed the radish in just before Ima exclaimed ! ...

 " Wow ! " Slugger ..you've got your own house on your back ! Did you grow that all yourself ? " Come here Moony...what do you think ?

Slugger !!!!!!

Moonpig looked at Slugger ! ( as though he was ' examining closely ' ) " Yup ! ain't he clever.....Grand Designs !!!  & gave a cheesy grin :)

" Don't you think he looks a little...pale ? " asked Ima 

" ( Gulp ! ) Naa ! he'll be alright after a little more food , think  the sun don't suit him " Moonpig said nervously . 

" Oh ! O.K. " Imapig2 answered .

Moonpig saw Imapig2's puzzled face , so added " Let's feed him some blackberries , that should put the colour back in him .

" That's a Good idea ! " said Imapig2 ' brightening ' up .

"Try Blackberries"Moonpig said

Moonpig tossed a few blackberries from out of the fruit bowl on the Club-House coffee table .

" Let's see if you can do one of your tricks for them . " teased Imapig2

" U-oh ! " thought Moonpig .

" Come on....beg,...Beg !...Come ON !...Have you forgotten....( Stupid ) " thought Imapig2.

" Perhaps he has Sun-stroke ,or is still a bit ... ' Star- struck '. I'm sure he'll ' pick ' it up again if you er...teach him from the begining. ( gulp ! ) " gulped Moonpig .

Imapig2 thought a little....then a little more , before finally saying " That sounds strange to me....but , I'll give it a try . Come on Slugger...bow  Bow ! Come on you stupid Nut ! " Imapig2 was...Not Amused !

Moonpig tried again to re-assure his friend saying , " Hey !....why don't you re-name Slugger...perhaps he would like the name  ' Sammy '...don't forget THAT shell weighs him down now...Give him time " Moonpig tried smiling :)

" O.K. Sammy it is " Imapig2 agreed .

Moonpig made a quick retreat before Imapig2 realised it wasn't Slugger at all that was now the tank , but a Snail !!!!
